So there's this group of people developing an emulator for a once great game, Star Wars: Galaxies. This game was originally developed by Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) but was later ruined by what they called the Combat Upgrade (CU) followed by the finishing blow called the New Game Enhancements (NGE). These 'updates' changed the way the game was played forever. Subscriptions dropped tremendously just weeks after the NGE went live and, as of October 2009, caused nearly half the servers to be shutdown*.
